  1. Are your boat charters private?
    Yes, every charter is completely private for you and your guests. Your party will never have to share a vessel with another charter group.
  2. How many boats do you have available for charter?
    We have two vessels available for private boat charter in Chicago: Anita Dee I & Anita Dee II
  3. How many people can you accommodate?
    We can handle charters for up to 400 guests.
  4. Are your charters only for evenings?
    No, although Chicago evening cruises are the most popular, we also do breakfast, lunch and late night cruises.
  5. What are some of the most popular types of charters?
    We host corporate and social charters. We can accommodate just about any group. Some more popular events are school outings, holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, weddings, Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah parties, formals, proms and cocktail parties.
  6. I don’t have a lot of time to organize an event – What assistance do you offer your charter clients?
    We have an event coordinator who will happily assist you with all the details for your private Chicago boat charter.
  7. When do we board our charter?
    Boarding time is 15 minutes prior to the start time of your charter on the Anita Dee I and 30 minutes prior to the start time of your charter on the Anita Dee II. For example, if your charter is from 7:00-10:00 pm, you would board at 6:45 pm on the Anita Dee I and 6:30 pm on the Anita Dee II. There is no charge for the boarding time period.
  8. Do we have to use a caterer on your list?
    No. We can accommodate any licensed and insured caterer not on our list. However, each one of our exclusive caterers was chosen based on their customer service, creativity, variety and flexibility and are ready to assist you with the utmost level of service and satisfaction.
  9. What are our departure options?
    Both the Anita Dee I and Anita Dee II are docked at Dusable Harbor on the Chicago River at Lake Shore Drive. However, both vessels can dock at many locations throughout Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. For additional information on alternate docking contact our event planning staff.
  10. What time are the Chicago fireworks?
    Firework displays take place at 9:00 pm on Wednesdays and 10:00 pm on Saturdays, Memorial Day through Labor Day. We recommend a charter from 7:00-10:00 pm on Wednesdays and 8:00-11:00 pm on Saturdays to allow ample time for viewing the fireworks from the water.
